I called Al to schedule a repair service on my Frigidaire wall oven that stopped heating after I used the self-cleaning feature. I chose his company because of all the 5 star reviews. I see now why he received them and he’s earned another from me. He was able to come out the next day, and diagnose the problem. He had to order a part which arrived the following day and he returned and replaced the part and the oven works perfectly. He arrived on time both days and was very friendly, courteous, and efficient in his work and explanation of the repair process. The cost was very reasonable and his service is impeccable. He is busy but can come out the same day or the next day depending on his workload. I waited a day but it was well worth it!
He fixed our washer and did not have to replace any parts (* see below). He just adjusted a door switch and put the timer knob back on that (someone * pulled apart - no pulling harder did not make it work, ha!).

We were missing some brackets to hold the timer / control panel on.
He replaced those brackets for no charge. He did not have them with him but he came back the next day and installed them. True to his word!!!

I have used Al's services way back. He is always reliable and he knows what he is doing. He has kept my older appliances in very good working condition. This time, I called him because my Kitchen Aid washer would not go to spin mode. He came and he knew right away what the problem was. He fixed it. He tested it well before he left. I am happy with the results. I prefer to keep my older appliances like Kitchen Aid and Maytag as long as I can. They last for many many years.

I call Al's to set up a date and time for appointment, he ask me for my washer model number. Less than 20 minutes later he calls me back to tell me to check a part on the washer that might just need to be clean. So I clean it and did a test run. Washer works like it's brand new again. Once again everything was done over the phone, he didn't charge me, he could have made a lot of money just for a simple 5 minute fix but he's a down-to-earth honest person. Called Al Tuesday morning about a dishwasher issue. He called me within a couple of hours and said he would be by Wednesday morning, which he was. Diagnosed the problem and explained in detail what was required for repair. He found the part, showed back up and completed the repair for an honest price. Al saved the day for me!!!! I purchased a dryer and the thermal fuse keep going out. The place were I purchased dryer from keep giving me the run around. I called Al and came out to service my dryer. Turns out my thermal fuse was going out because of the heating element. Al replaced the heating element and thermal for me. Dryer has been working ever since then.

Honest & Reliable service!! Al has fixed my washer machine twice. It’s no fault of his own that he’s fixed it twice. First time, was a power surge problem & Second time, a product I used a HE Bleach crystals product for our machine which ended up ruining our pump. Even though it said on the bottle it was compatible. Go figure. I’m happy Al was available to fix this ASAP!!

When I called Al about my refrigerator's freezer temperature very wildly fluctuating, he first suggested over the phone something I could try before having him come out. I did as he instructed, and It worked! I still needed him to come out because my ice maker had worn out. Al told me up front, over the phone, how he charges, so there would be no surprises.

He arrived on time and carefully explained everything. He called and got the price for the ice maker and gave me the the installation cost, allowing me to decide if I wanted to go forward with repairs. (I did!)
Then, Al said, "While I'm here, I'm going to clean the coils." That made a HUGE difference!

He also noticed that the drawer to the bottom freezer was not closing properly, and said he would address that when he returned to install the ice maker. He told me in the meantime to be careful to push the drawer in to make sure it was closed.

Al returned the next day, ahead of the scheduled time (He did call to let me know), installed the ice maker in no time and discovered why the freezer door was not closing properly. He re-engaged the sliding mechanism on the freezer door, which I did not realize was not working properly!

Based on this experience, I have Al's Guaranteed Appliance programmed into my phone!

Very professional , old school customer service. Al repaired my washer, quick diagnosis, found the needed part for me, and came back to put it on my machine. He deducted the 49.00 diagnosis fee from the part/labor charge. I will use his services again if needed. He kept the set appointment time and communicated with me, as needed, to get the job done in a timely manner.

My Maytag dryer had stopped heating and called Al's after seeing some good review on Yelp. I was not disappointed. Called at 9am and he set up time for 12-1p same day. He called before arriving within the designated timeframe. He took apart my dryer and wow a mess. Took time to show me my heating element was burnt out and a thermostat was loose. Although he didn't have the parts on hand, he was able to make a quick trip to get them and was back and replaced them all in same day and price charged was reasonable.

I would not hesitate to use him again.

My gas dryer stopped heating, I'd had problems with the company that we used to use for appliance repairs, so I tried Al's. The process was simple. He charges $49 for a service call to diagnose the problem. He doesn't credit this amount if you have him do the repair, but since most of the people who do give you credit for the service call fee if they do the repair charge $100 for the service call it all works out in the end. We weren't sure the dryer was economically fixable, and I didn't want to risk $100 on a dryer where the repairs might cost too much compared to the cost of a new one. I was lucky, he tracked down the problem to a thermal fuse, tracked down what had caused the fuse to blow, and fixed the problem. Total cost including tax was $181.87, which I considered very reasonable. He also showed me how to fix it myself if I ever had a similar problem after his warranty expired, and showed me how to diagnosis it. I would not hesitate to use him again.

I essentially found Al though arbitrarily web surfing fortuitously finding his website. What I'm about to write leaves no hint of exaggeration— My best-in-house customer service experience since I moved to DFW in 2001.

My 5 star rating should speak for itself, however, let me list the five reasons why he's the best in the business.

1. Never-mind that he's professional, personable and competent— he genuinely cares and goes above & beyond to provide you value combined with the best possible price. he spent 15 minutes calling part distributors looking for the best pobbisle price without sacrificing quality.

2. The value he provides combined with ridiculously fair and reasonable estimates makes choosing Al an amazing deal.

3. Al is an EXPERT at his craft and it shows. He's not good; he"s great. He takes pride in his work.

4.He kept his word every step of the way. He's honest, which is so rare in today;s service industry culture.

Called him to get my washer fixed, he told me it wasn't worth the fix. That the repair is worth more than the machine, it was reassuring to see someone put common sense and integrity over trying to make an extra buck.
